Treehaven is offering for the 13th year of environmental fils/speakers. Each speaker is selected on the basis of a thought-provoking environmental topic.
Jan 8th will be Finding the Wild Side of Wisconsin's State Natural Area.
Wisconsin is home of 687 State Natual Areas (SNA's). Each of these natural areas protect exceptional examples of Wisconsin's landscape of natural communities, important geoplogical formations and archaeological sites. Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources Bereau of Naural Heritage Conservation's regional ecologist Carly Lapin, will present on the State Natural Areas programs and Habitat management efforts in the area, including monitoring efforts of the state-threatened Wood Turtle.
Food options: Stuffed Chicken Valentino, Blackened Salmon with Dill Cucumber Sauce or Carrot Chickpea Fritters.
