• About Us

  • A bit of old fashioned small town charm describes our Merrill Community: population 9,651. We are located in North Central Wisconsin in Lincoln County: Mother Natures own bit of place perfection. The four seasons are fully appreciated and offers not only outstanding beauty, but abundant outdoor opportunities. Clean air and water and the natural environment makes Merrill a wonderful place to call home. Our community enjoys a diverse industrial and manufacturing base that includes metals, window, door, packaging and footwear productions. Merrill has new distribution centers as well, due to the location of our infrastructure. We also are home to Church Mutual Insurance Company, the largest insurer of worship centers and Reindl Printing, one of Wisconsin leading printing companies. We have a diverse base of business and welcome your business to the Merrill Area. The City of Merrill Administration is progressive in businesses development and together with the organizations Merrill Area Development Corporation and Lincoln County Economic Development (LCED) they would like to help you locate your business here. LCED Executive Director Bill Bialecki offers free and confidential assistance in the area of financial packaging, site planning and business planning and workforce development to businesses located in Lincoln County and to those seeking to do business here. Visit www.lincolncountyedc.org or call Bill at 715-539-1024.

    Set your own pace

Enjoy an outstanding quality of life in a safe community, where folks are friendly. We are a great place to raise a family, with an excellent school system and over $600,000 in scholarships made available by Merrill benefactors to graduating seniors. The Merrill library is a real treat to visit, housed in a charming historic building with all of the amenities of a large city library. Programs of great variety abound for youngsters and adults. Throughout the year, events are plentiful, ranging from the annual Pork in the Park Ribfest, the Lincoln County Fair, the Lincoln County Rodeo and the Art Attack, to many athletic and bowling competitions.

    Health Care

Superior health care opportunities are available for all ages. Our Hospital and caring clinics offer excellence in service and we have many outstanding assisted care facilities. The Holy Cross Sisters call Merrill their home and still continue to care for those who need assistance through their assisted living facility Bell Tower Residence.

Outdoor opportunities are many: enjoy hunting, fishing, hiking, horseback riding, ATV and snowmobile riding on over 101,000 acres of public forests and many trail systems. The Wisconsin River offers fishing, boating and camping experiences.
