AGES: 7, 8, 9 & 10 DATES AND LOCATION: Friday, June 23 (rain date June 30) – MARC Friday, July 21 (rain date July 28) – boat landing at Council Grounds – canoeing Friday, August 18 (rain date August 25) - MARC TIME: 10:00 – 2:00 p.m. FEE: $40.00 for all three sessions – pack a lunch and bring a waterbottle YOU MUST PRE-REGISTER FOR THIS CAMP. MIN. 5 – MAX 10 This half day of Outdoor Adventure Camp will focus on different outdoor recreation activities. Campers will explore the nature preserve by canoeing, hiking, hunting for hidden treasures, cooking over a campfire, learning about different plants and building an outdoor hut in the woods. Each day different activities are planned for the kids. Each camper needs to bring a lunch and water bottle with his/her name on it. On Friday, July 21, weather permitting, the Young Explorers will be canoeing from Council Grounds (If you are dropping your child at the boat landing you will need a sticker to get into Council Grounds, if you don’t talk to the leader about having your child catch a ride with someone else to get in.) to Boy Scout Island for lunch and exploring. If they want to bring their own life jackets they could do that otherwise they will have to wear one we provide for them. Every person has to have a lifejacket on when in the canoes. On Friday, August 18, we will be providing lunch for the kids, they will be learning how to build a fire and cook their food over the fire.
